Recipe Book: The Tassajara Bread Book
Recipe Name: Tassajara Yeasted Bread
My modifications: I added in one egg, extra yeast, used half whole wheat flour and half all purpose flour, used olive oil, used honey as my sweetener, and did not use any powdered milk. I also used the maximum rise time for each rise/prove.
Results (How the bread turned out): This is a very good bread! Super enjoyable and pairs well with soup, and would be a great sandwich bread. It is a little on the sweet side, and needs more salt.
Would I use this recipe again? Yes, I would use this recipe again.
One thing I learned: I learned that bread takes a really long time to rise/prove.
One question I have: Is there any way to speed up the rising and proving process?
1 mistake I made: I think that I added a little bit to much honey.
What I paired this recipe with: We enjoyed this recipe with a fall squash soup
